Here, at Taip, we care about our bodies the same way we care about the environment. With this in mind, we work with local factories in Northern Portugal: our design house, factory, and fabric mills are less than 50 kilometers from each other. After deep research, we found a combination of materials that makes our products both functional and sustainable.

When designing Taip’s underwear for incontinence, we outlined several goals:

♡ natural fibers in contact with the skin;
♡ a thin layer of absorbent to keep the panties light and discreet;
♡ making sure that our product is leak-free and can absorb sufficient amounts of urine;
♡ all fabrics produced in Europe.

This is how it works:

1. Bamboo has naturally antibacterial properties and is a good choice to maintain a healthy vaginal flora;
2. Technical absorbent that has the power to soak and lock in the urine;
3. The waterproof layer, made of recycled polyester, guarantees no leaks; 
4. The base of the underwear is made of bamboo viscose, so your skin can breathe and stay irritation-free.

Taip underwear is very easy to maintain. According to your own preferences, you can handwash or machine wash your underwear. But, before washing, always cold rinse your underwear with running water.

Machine wash

Rinse under cold running water, then machine Wash below 30ºC together with other clothes. It is important you avoid bleach and softener. Also, do not tumble dry and do not iron them. Just always air-dry.  

By taking good care of your underwear, their magic power of retaining urine and odor will last for 50 washes with full performance.

Please do wash your underwear before the first use. This will allow its magic powers to activate.

Well, there is no unique answer to that, but we’ll help you do the math. What is your type of incontinence? Stress or chronic, meaning small leaks from time to time, or is it a daily matter?

• For just a few drops here and there, you might need 1 pair a day with light absorbency, such as 10ml Aurora Model.
• If it is a daily matter, the number of times you wash them per week should also be taken into consideration. If you do a machine only once a week, you might need more pairs of underwear than if you wash them every other day. For moderate leaks you might need 2 - 3 pairs a day and maybe another for the night. We suggest you start with 3 or 4 pairs of light absorbency underwear such as Elena (up to 15ml) so you can test them regarding their absorbency with your leaks daily. With this, you’ll be able to better understand if you need to change it during the day or if a pair lasts for the whole day, in your case.
  
  Depending on the severity of your bladder weakness, we recommend having between 10 and 14 pairs so that you don't have to wash them so often.

Our underwear models are easy to fit and based on standard underwear sizes.

Urinary incontinence (UI) underwear is just like regular underwear but with enough absorption capacity for small leaks. Taip’s urine leak underwear is made of bamboo viscose and has two hidden layers, one with an ultra-thin absorbent and another layer made of a waterproof material.
